Mashrafe’s top innings

It will not be an overestimation if one says Bangladesh ODI skipper Mashrafee is now a cornerstone for Bangladesh cricket. Though Mashrafe started his career as a pacer, he proved himself as a priceless member of the team with his all-rounder performance many times. Mashrafe played several exploding innings to salvage his side all through his career.

His most recent 42 off 17 balls innings was against Chittagong Vikings that sealed last-ball victory for his side in a BPL match this year. Mashrafe’s other five powerful innings are bellow:

104 off 51 balls against Sheikh Jamal in 2016

It was a Dhaka Premier League match in which Mashrafe’s side, Kalabagan Krirachakra, took on Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club. On fire Mashrafe made history hitting 104-run ton, a quickest century in the history of list ‘A’ team. The record is still unchased. 

56 off 32 balls against Chittagong Vikings in 2015

It has now been a rule that Chittagong is the most favourite team to score big for the Bangladesh captain. Mashrafe’s Comilla Victoria lost 2 wickets at 10 runs in chase of 177. After Shuvagata Homes’ return, Mashrafe came in and blasted 56 runs off three sixes and four boundaries. 

44 off 29 balls against England in 2016

Tigers beat visiting England in second matches of the three-match series. Mashrafe stole the show by his all-rounder performance. While Bangladesh were scrambling against the visitors, at 9th, Mashrafe changed match with his 44 off 29 balls with three sixes and two fours. As bowler Mashrafe took 4 wickets sealing the victory in the match.

44 off 16 balls in 2006

Habibul Bashar-led Bangladesh had been able to cross 300 runs for the first time, riding on Mashrafe’s quickest 44 runs. Mashrafe made the runs off three sixes and 5 fours.

51 off 27 balls against Scotland in 2006

Mashrafe was just under 19, a member of the young Bangladesh team. After Mushfiqur Rahim at 43th over against visiting Scotland, Mashrafe blasted 79-run partnership with his fellow batsman Mohammad Ashraful. Mashrafe contributed 51 off 27 balls to the partnership from 5 sixes. Mashrafe was made player of the match as he took two wickets as well.
